Common Problems
At The Spa Workshop, we service and repair hundreds of Bestway Lay-Z-Spa AirJet pumps every month. The majority of faults we diagnose are attributable to limescale accumulation within the heater matrix, which restricts water circulation and subsequently triggers a range of error codes.
E01 - Frequently caused by limescale and debris accumulating on or around the flow sensor, impairing paddle movement.
E02 – Indicates that insufficient water flow is being detected. If you have brief sound and water flow from the pump, this is most commonly caused by limescale accumulation within the heater assembly, which restricts circulation, reduces flow rate, and triggers the protection fault.
E04 and E08 – Result from localised overheating within the heater matrix, commonly caused by reduced flow efficiency due to scale buildup.
In hard water areas, routine descaling of your Lay-Z-Spa AirJet pump is essential for preventative maintenance. Removing calcium deposits from the heater matrix, circulation pump, and flow sensor restores correct flow rate, improves thermal transfer, and reduces stress on internal components.
Our descaler attachment functions as a compact standalone rigid liner, enabling you to operate and evaluate your pump independently of the inflatable liner. This allows accurate diagnosis and rectification of issues such as leaks, degraded components, and persistent fault codes. It can also be used to prevent FreezeGuard activation from initiating an E02 or E03 fault when inflating your spa in low ambient temperatures.

Compatibility
Our descaler is fully compatible with all ‘Green Ticked’ Lay-Z-Spa and Bestway SaluSpa AirJet pump models shown. It is not compatible with HydroJet or UltraFit model pumps.

UK - Orders are despatched, free of charge, via Royal Mail 48. Delivery time is usually between 1 - 3 working days from despatch. If you require a faster service, the option to upgrade to Royal Mail Special Delivery is available at checkout.
WORLDWIDE - Orders are despatched via Royal Mail International Tracked. The cost of this is based on weight and calculated at checkout. Delivery time varies upon destination and customs clearance, but is usually between 5 - 14 working days from despatch. Please be aware that all applicable import duties, taxes and customs charges remain the responsibility of the buyer.
TRACKING - Tracking information is uploaded to your eBay order once despatched.
