This empty cigarette box comes from 1950's.

Many similar examples of packs of 20 Straight Cut Cigarettes yet few if any of the 100 (No) boxes.

Has been used to house printing blocks yet generally in good condition for age.

Outer lid shows Manufacturer's Name and the picture of the original Lambert & Butler Premises in Drury Lane.

"Established in 1834 - Straight Cut - Cigarettes - 100"

Under the Sphinx Trade Mark the reading is "This Label is issued by The Imperial Tobacco Company (of Great Britain and Ireland) Ltd.

Inside of the lid reads "These Cigarettes are manufactured with great care from the Finest Selected Leaf, are cool smoking and of exquisite flavour"
