was a well-known photographer especially in the years '1883 - 1888" in Quito, Ecuador. I see 

some of his work in auctions. His name and location are in gold print on the front and an 

elaborate floral cartouche on the back. The two men are standing face to face. It is difficult to 

determine if they are confrontational or just having a serious conversation. There clothes would 

tell what they do and possible even what part of Ecuador they are from!
