■About This Items■

  1. It is modified to reduce noise and true bypass switch.
  2. We plugged in the guitar and got sound.
  3. This model has been converted to a true bypass switch, so there is no room for a 9-volt battery. Therefore, it can be used only with a 9-volt DC adapter.
  4. Tested.It works fine with 9V power adapter.
  5. It made in Taiwan 2002 and Modified in Japan 2025.
  6. It is modified to reduce noise.
  7. Modified part_1:【IC1】【IC2】【IC3】Changed operational amplifier from JRC022D to NE5532AP.
  8. Modified part_2:【C21(1μF)】【C22(1μF)】【C32(1μF)】【C12(47μF)】【C17(100μF)】The capacitors were changed to audio grade electrolytic capacitors or tantalum capacitor.
  9. Modified part_3:【R34(10K)】【R7(3.3K)】【R41(4.7K)】【R26(1K)】【R36(10K)】These resistors were changed from carbon resistors to metal film resistors.
  10. Modified part_4:LED color changed from red to iceblue.
  11. The rubber ring of the pedal guide bushing was replaced with a new one.
  12. Please note that the modified GE-7 with reduced noise does not have the noise reduction features of the BOSS NS-2 Noise Suppressor.
  13. Please check the video to see how the noise is reduced in the normal and modified GE-7.Please watch the video with headphones if possible.

■Appearance■

  1. The normal footswitch is not functional because it has been converted to true bypass. The newly installed 3PDT switch can be used to turn it on and off.
  2. Slightly peeling paint in some areas.
  3. Please have a look at the photos.
