What Is it?
Natural gas pilot ODS assembly used on vent‑free fireplaces, gas logs, stoves, heaters, and other appliances manufactured by Desa, FMI Products, and Vanguard. It is a pre‑assembled pilot unit with an integrated thermocouple and thermopile, a protected pilot flame design, a built‑in injector rated at approximately 166 watts, and a thermopile support bracket. The assembly uses a 3/8‑24 UNF gas connection and an M8 x 1 thermocouple nut. It is a fail‑safe millivolt oxygen depletion system pilot and is approved for use only with natural gas. This pilot is an OEM SIT Controls replacement part and should be installed only by a qualified technician. It must match the exact part number listed in the appliance manual.
