1929 INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER

Owner Tel Valpey, Jr

International Harvester had a banner year in 1929, having sold a record number of trucks in all weight classes and categories. Part of the reason may have been the introduction of the Six Speed Special in 1928, a new model with a 3-speed transmission and 2-speed rear axle, the first of its kind. The International Harvester Platform body.

as pictured, was popular with farmers because of its ability to transport large payloads. The truck features an 85 hp Hall Scott gasoline engine. The wagon on the bed of the truck can be identified as a Weber, also manufactured by International Harvester. The wagon is in original condition and dates back to the turn of the century.
