Arguably the prettiest of the 50's Fords, there is little doubt that the 1955 Fairlane best typifies this particular decade of Ford products. Outfitted here at the optimal trim level, the car fairly bursts with the exuberance, optimism and chrome of America in the 50's. Available with a straight six or small V-8 and the expected options - radio, heater, power steering, Ford-o-matic transmission - the Fairlane was hardly overpowered, yet did yeoman's service in hauling a generation of baby boomers off to school.
