    How to replace the thermostat

    • 1. Turn off the engine and open the front cover.
    • 2. Disconnect the negative wire of the battery. The purpose of this is to prevent the electronic fan from running suddenly during work and causing personal injury.
    • 3. Remove the plastic cover outside the timing belt.
    • 4. The location of the generator will affect the replacement of the thermostat, and the generator assembly needs to be removed. Place a drip tray under the car first, and then prepare to remove the water pipe. After the drain pipe is removed, the antifreeze will gushes out, please be careful not to burn it. The thermostat itself can now be seen.
    • 5. Remove the faulty thermostat and install a new one. After installing the thermostat, apply a layer of sealant to the water pipes to prevent water leakage.
    • 6. Install the removed water pipe, generator and timing plastic cover in situ. Connect the negative pole of the battery, add new antifreeze, and then test the car.
