What Is it?
LPG8402 is an OEM liquid propane Pilot ODS assembly made by SIT Controls. It includes an integrated thermocouple and is used on direct‑vent and vent‑free propane fireplaces and heaters from brands such as Majestic, Vermont Castings, Monessen, Lennox, and Winrich. The OEM SIT part number is 84008402000, and it replaces cross‑reference numbers 20001357 and R5170. This assembly restores proper pilot ignition, flame sensing, and ODS safety shutoff on appliances originally equipped with the LPG8402 pilot.
