Bound in the publisher's green cloth. 25cm, 9.75 inches, tall, ix, 2pp contents, 2pp, 212 pges, 49 pages selecetions in prose and verse, 1pp Corrections Good condition, rebacked with original spine cloth laid on, some scuffs and marks to the boards, hinges reinforced. Flyer for 'Works by Duncan Forbes' pasted to the front endpaper. One owner name on the front endpaper, another on the title page, light toning to page margins, occasional marks and some marginalia throughout, mainly clean. The second owner name is Blythe Hurst, originally a blacksmith, but due to his natural talent for languages taken notice of by the local clergy, going on to become a clergyman himself. Rare.
