General Description

  1. Gio Ponti (1981-1979) is known as the "father of modern Italian design" and was an architect, designer, painter, and editor based in Milan who was active all over the world. As an architect, Ponti, while a modernist, explored the expression of architectural surfaces (facades/outer walls, floors, windows, walls). By mixing industrial products and handicrafts, and creating a sense of movement through lightness and thinness, we gave the architecture a sense of skin and warmth. In this book, we will read suggestions for the next era of architecture from the work of Gio Ponti, whose work has recently been reevaluated around the world, especially in Europe.
