Snow Peak's 2Layer Octa series of midlayers is ultra-lightweight with breathable waterproof and warm properties and is designed for active wear. A normally three-layer padded item has been made into a two-layer structure using light materials resulting in an overwhelmingly lightweight design. The outer material is made of recycled polyester with a double ripstop composition that is highly stretchable and tear-resistant. The back side is laminated with a polyurethane waterproof membrane to give it breathable and waterproof properties. The octa material lining is insulating sweat-wicking and quick-drying and is extremely lightweight. The items range from outerwear to clothing and accessories and this season they are available in three colors: black greige and dark olive. A wide range of sizes are available for both men and women. This is a stand-up collar vest that is easy to layer with various items and has an attractive simplicity. The front placket is double-zippered to make it easier to regulate body temperature and expand the range of styles and comes with a chin guard that does not touch the face line. There is a zippered security pocket on the front but it is positioned so that it does not interfere with the belt of the backpack. The hem has an adjuster to prevent wind from entering.
