The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin.

Two volumes, sixth edition, vol 1 is 34th thousand 1890, vol 2 is 33rd thousand 1888, both with equal wear and presumably together from new or almost new.

Grey cloth covers, rubbing and chipping to the spine ends and corners, also with some rubbing to the joints, partially exposing the material underneath to the rear hinge of volume 1, gilt lettering to the spine dulled. Front pastedown to both books with the same previous owners bookplate and a stamp over this. Black endpapers, pages age toned, but otherwise clean and tidy, one page has a tear to the margin from when it was opened, without loss, pages otherwise opened tidily. Complete with fold out chart. The binding weave is visible between a few of the pages to volume 1, volume 2 has a lean, good condition.

Will be carefully bubble wrapped and packed in a box.

Thanks for looking.
