This is an AQUA BLUE Dr Kings New Discovery for consumption made by the H. E. Buckley & Co., which did many advertisements during the 1880s - 1900s. This "medicine" or medical history/lesson, furthermore, brought on serious attention to doctors and medical staff to the need for medical patents at that time.

Bucklen’s “New Discovery” was a medicine for consumption (tuberculosis), a disease which at the time was killing millions of people. Many companies offered cures and remedies for consumption — all were frauds, including the “New Discovery.”  It contained morphine and chloroform, which did not cure anything it proclaimed.

This is a great example of what not to do in our medicine history of the USA and is a must-have for any collection!! It is handblown with embossed letters and has bubbles throughout. It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks!!
