This listing is for the 1989 Gartlan Kareem Abdul-Jabbar hand signed "Path of Glory" Sky Hook Collection 10 1/4" plate pictured above. This features beautiful artwork from Michael J. Taylor. Kareem's autograph has gotten harder to find over time due to him being reclusive, and when he is seen in public, he refuses to sign. The plate pictured is the actual item you will receive and is from our old store stock which we purchased directly from Gartlan USA. This plate is brand new but the cardboard box it was in got damaged in storage over the last 35 years and had to be thrown out. The plate will be packaged much safer now in foam peanuts rather than in the unprotected cardboard box. It is numbered #1863 out of 1,989 made. Even though this plate is numbered out of 1,989, keep in mind that this was a one time release where many plates were damaged over the years, whereas 1,000's of Kareem autographed cards have been, and are continually being released. This is signed in gold metallic ink, so you do not have to worry about it fading over time! This plate is in perfect condition and any odd color patterns are likely from the camera.
