This is a previously-owned, youth-medium (YM / size 8), black T-shirt with “MTV / Music Television” printed on the front. Manufactured in 2021, it measures approximately 17 inches (from underarm seam to underarm seam), about 20 inches from back collar to bottom, and is in great condition (Old Navy brand, 50% cotton / 50% polyester).
MTV (Music Television) is an American cable television network based in New York City that launched on August 1, 1981. The original purpose of the channel was to play music videos guided by on-air hosts known as VJs. Today, MTV still plays a limited selection of music videos, but the channel primarily broadcasts a variety of popular culture and reality television shows targeted at teenagers and younger viewers. In 1997, MTV made its rising success more palpable by inhabiting the building at 1515 Broadway in Times Square.
