S-02 Protective Interface Coat – Usage Instructions

Main Applications

• S-02 can be used as a protective interface coat over S-01, S-06, and S-09.
• It can also be used together with metallic varnish. When applying metallic varnish, make sure the S-02 interface coat completely covers and protects the painted surface.
• The silver samples shown in the product images are finished with metallic varnish.

Recommended Layering for Transparent Colors
Gloss Black → Silver → S-02 Interface Coat → Transparent Color

Important Notes

• Use S-02 directly without thinning whenever possible.
• If thinning is necessary, use ionized water at room temperature, adding only 5–8%.
• Keep the painting environment below 65% humidity for best results.

S-03 / S-04 / S-05 – Usage Instructions

Do Not Thin

• S-03, S-04, and S-05 are designed to be used without thinning.
• S-03 and S-04 can be mixed together to create your preferred shade of gold.

Surface Preparation

• Application is similar to the Chrome Silver series (S-01, S-06, S-09).
• A smoother and glossier base surface will produce a stronger reflective effect and better shine.

Recommended Humidity
Lower humidity generally produces better results. Approximately 60% humidity is recommended.

Recommended Layering Process

1. Apply a Gloss Black base.
2. Apply 2 coats of Clear Gloss. The second coat may be slightly thinned. Alternatively, metallic varnish or gloss black with hardener may be used.
3. Apply 2 layers of S-03, S-04, or S-05.

The finished paint layer has durability comparable to S-01 and supports overlapping and coverage. Once properly applied and cured, normal handling should not cause the paint to peel.

• S-09 – Black Chrome Silver: Designed primarily for direct use. Not recommended for additional color layering.
