 These start with the correct  OEM JBL cone assemblies .Then, a special back engineered and improved coating is applied to the OEM JBL cones..

  There's a couple advantages with using these pre-manufactured cones...

1.) you don't have to buy expensive coatings

2.)  You don't have to deal with coatings that's been in a jar for 40+ years and hope it's not dried out.

3.)NO MESS

4.) The cone weight is CORRECT for these models, and you will not alter your box tuning,...  By applying some one else's coating, you don't know if the moving mass is correct and then there goes your box tuning.,.  These are the CORRECT WEIGHT when you receive them

5.)  ready to install

6.) We shot spectral decay and response measurements with these, as well as OEM cones, and after market "paint" type coatings. Those things actually flex, and store energy, causing ringing, cone edge resonance issues as well as ghost notes (ringing)..

 The PMR cones contain special stiffeners, aggregates, protectants, dampeners, as well as a superior spectral decay measurement, which hands down, sounds cleaner, crisper, "faster", and with improved fidelity.

 

  This coating is far superior to aquaplas  in spectral decay measurements....

 Excellent inherent dampening of cone edge resonance issues, "ghost notes", stiffness, and keeping the cone operating like a true piston. This stuff is STIFF.........
