They feature emblems of Canadian nature: the graceful dragonfly and cactus flower, the eastern prickly pear cactus, and the tiger butterfly, all frequently seen by nature lovers. The dragonfly is made of 99.9% pure silver, weighs 15.87 grams, and has a diameter of 34 mm. The eastern prickly pear cactus flower, which grows in Point Pelee, Ontario, is cupronickel-colored and has a diameter of 35 mm. The butterfly coin, made of silver-plated copper, has a diameter of 42 mm.
