DIMENSIONS: Approximately 113mm diameter x 85mm high
ITEM DETAILS: This is a charming, rustic hand made Chawan bowl or Yunomi with some kind of Chun or Tenmoku glaze which has an unusual incised mark which looks like S T G arranged around a crucifix. Infuriatingly, it makes a very dead sound when you tap it, as though it's cracked, but I have inspected it exhaustively both wet and dry with bright and UV lights and magnifiers of immense strength and can find no trace of damage, repairs, hairlines, crazing or other issues so I suspect that it has something to do with the glaze, which is a phenomenon I have encountered before with more bubbly Chun glazes. This aside it's in immaculate condition, everything is just as you see it in the photos and it comes from a smoke free home.
