WIDE COMPATIBILITY


The BAFANG mid wheel drive kit is compatible with bottom brackets of 68-73mm/100mm/120mm (length) and 34-36mm (inner diameter). You can install a mid wheel drive motor on mountain bikes, road bikes, and commuter bikes, but it is not recommended to use carbon fiber frames or roller coaster brakes on bicycles. *Little Tips

1. Before installing the motor, please follow the steps in the manual to connect the motor to see if the motor can work normally. Please DO NOT remove any connection with the power supply is on.

3. Both 48V 1000W and 52V 1000W are printed 48V 1000W on the motor, just different controllers. The 52V version needs to match rated 52V battery to work. If the battery you use is rated 48V, you need choose 48V version motor. Please kindly choose the right version based on the battery you use.


HOW DO I KNOW IF THIS MID DRIVE MOTOR FITS FOR MY BIKE?

250W-750W: This mid drive motor fits for the bike with 68mm or 73mm wide bottom bracket. The inner diamater of the bracket should be not less than 33.5mm.

48V52V 1000W: The BBSHD comes in sizes made to fit the size of your bottom bracket. Please measure your bottom bracket before ordering, in case it does not fit. We have both in standard sizes (68-73mm), wide and fat sizes (74-100mm) and extra fat (100-120mm). If your bike is not regular, additional spacer may be needed and can be bought here:

#68mm BBS: it's suitable for 68mm (2.68inch)-73mm (2.87inch) bike.

#100mm BBS: 100mm bike or 90mm bike +1pc*10mm spacer

#120mm BBS: 120mm bike or 110mm bike +1pc*10mm spacer


How to choose a display ?

How to choose a chainring for ebike conversion ？



For a normal pedal bike without electricity, small chainring is more compatible with mountain bike which can help you climb easier. Big chaining is more suitable for city bike, road bike and foldable bike which can help you enjoy faster speed .

However , now you are converting a bike to an ebike with motor, the size of chainring won't influence much because there is enough power for you to ride. When you install a mid motor on your bike , the bigger the chainring is , the faster the speed wil be. And please note that the chainring is more compatible with a bike ≤9 speed. If you are not sure which chainring you should use, you can consider the same teeth as your original chainring.

Brake Lever or brake sensor ？



The brake lever we send by default has a power-off function. We provide you with some tips on choosing the appropriate braking system options.

If your bicycle braking system is a mechanical disc brake or a wheel V-shaped brake, you can choose the brake lever option.

If your bicycle braking system is an integrated thumb shifter, it is hydraulic braking, or if you want to keep your own brake lever. You can choose the brake sensor in the BAFANG mid wheel drive kit.
