A beautiful curtain! ~ this textile is French and dates from c 1890-1910 ~ It's a jacquard weave, tapestry look curtain, with fabulous colors and design!~ Very heavy weight, woven cotton.. This would be ideal used as a door curtain because it can be seen both ways beautifully ~~ This design was very popular in the late 1800's and this would have hung in a very affluent home, no doubt. ~ A fabulous find! This curtain weighs just over 4 pounds. On the back there are the oringinal rings for hanging ~ wonderful blues and muted tones of browns ~ sure to be an hierloom textile ~

CONDITION : This fabric is in as found, not freshly laundered condition~ this panel is in really beautiful condition indeed! Nothing to report. Light signs of time and use often inherent in these magical antique textiles ~
