This textile is a really wonderful design dating to the 1860s! It's a linen cotton blend, wonderfully finely woven! The ground is a wonderful aged beige, and there are roller printed red arborescent patterns! At some point, someone added ribbons from the 1930s to the top: so gorgeous and great for hanging! This piece has an aged, unwashed tone and it could be hand washed although that might change the patina. This material would be ideal for pillows, upholstery, framing, design inspiration, etc.!
MEASUREMENTS: This curtain measures approximately 32 inches wide by about 78 inches long
CONDITION: This fabric is in as found, not freshly laundered condition for collectors. There are a few small stains here and there. As stated above, this piece has an aged, unwashed tone and it could be hand washed although that might change the patina. This textile is not perfect, but it’s perfectly wonderful for anyone that doesn’t mind the signs of time and use usually inherent in these wonderful antique textiles - it's truly part of their charm!
