Rally Style M-Chassis Touring Car Kit

Introducing the Opel Kadett GT/E 1/10 MB-01 On-Road Touring Car Kit. This scaled assembly kit recreates the Opel Kadett GT/E on the versatile MB-01 chassis. The Opel Kadett GT/E was first released in 1975 and was a high-spec version of the Opel Kadett, a car that was widely popular in Europe during the 1970s. It had a two-door coupe body, a 1.9-liter engine, and reinforced suspension that secured second place in the Manufacturer's Championship in 1976. The MB-01 chassis gives a choice of three types of wheelbases, and front or rear wheel drive. The chassis for this model is configured in the long wheelbase and midship rear motor position for rear wheel drive to faithfully capture the layout of the actual car.

Chassis

The MB-01 chassis is nothing short of versatile and gives the user different options to choose from. The compact 2WD chassis can be assembled with your choice of wheelbase lengths; Short (210mm), Middle (225mm), or keep it Long (239mm) as depicted in the photos and on the box. Without removing the battery pack, motor, and other equipment setups from the center frame, you can change the attachment directions of the final gears and steering linkage to switch between front or rear wheel drive, where low or high motor mounting positions are available for rear wheel drive cars.

Suspension

The four-wheel double wishbone suspension features a symmetrical structure and friction dampers. Double wishbone suspension allows each wheel to act and react independently from the others, offering precision handling when tackling those hard-to-maneuver courses. Sections such as the motor mount, final gears, and suspension are unitized and facilitate ease of assembly and maintenance.

Body

The kit features a pre-painted polycarbonate body, modeled after the early-period Opel Kadett GT/E. The body is painted in Tamiya yellow with tinted windows, giving it an elegant and authentic look. The pre-cut wheel arches and pre-made body mount holes make the assembly process easy and quick, especially for beginners. This level of detail in the design makes the model a perfect collector’s item and a standout on the track.
