PRODUCT DETAILS:
This direct replacement water pump features aluminum construction with a precision-formed metal impeller designed for the Honda EK1 1.8-liter SOHC four-cylinder engine found in the 1980 and 1981 Honda Accord and Honda Prelude. The belt-driven standard rotation pump ensures proper factory equivalent installation for these early Honda models. The second generation Honda Accord was a landmark vehicle that established Honda as a major force in the American automotive market with its combination of build quality, reliability, and fuel efficiency during the oil crisis era. The 1.8-liter EK1 engine produced 75 horsepower providing adequate performance with excellent fuel economy. The first generation Honda Prelude shared this same reliable engine in a sleek two-door sport coupe body style that previewed Honda future design direction.
