PRODUCT DETAILS:
This direct replacement water pump features aluminum construction with a precision-formed metal impeller designed for the BMW M62B44 4.4-liter DOHC V8 engine found in the 1996 through 1998 BMW 740iL and 740i E38 luxury sedans, 840Ci E31 grand touring coupe, and 540i E39 sport sedan. The belt-driven pump ensures proper factory equivalent installation as a direct replacement for BMW original equipment part number 11510393340. The M62 V8 was the second generation of BMW modern V8 and featured an aluminum block with Alusil cylinder liners providing reduced weight and improved cooling. The M62B44 delivered 282 horsepower providing smooth refined power across the entire rev range. The E38 7 Series is widely considered one of the finest luxury sedans ever produced while the E31 840Ci remains a highly desirable grand tourer. The E39 540i combined this powerful V8 with the athletic 5 Series chassis. The aluminum housing provides excellent heat dissipation while the metal impeller ensures proper coolant flow. Features a permanently sealed bearing assembly.
