These are
bottle cap knobs with 6mm inserts permanently embedded in resin. They fit snugly on knurled 6mm potentiometers that are found on many import instruments.
NOT intended for 1/4 inch potentiometer shafts, but can be made to fit with careful drilling. 1/4 "= 6.35 mm.
