Operation:
1) ON with no brackets means that switch has latching action; once the lever is moved up or down, a connection is made, and the lever stays in that position until you switch it to another position.
2) OFF means no connection is made.
3) (ON) in brackets means that the switch has momentary action; a connection is made only while the lever is held in that position; when released, the switch returns to the OFF position.
