    What are brake pads & shoes?

    Brake pads are flat components comprised of a ceramic or semi-metallic surface material bonded to a metal body.The brake pads fit into the caliper, with their friction-resistant surface almost touching the two sides of the brake disc.

    Brake shoes are used in drum brake systems, with the lined shoe pressing against the inside of the drum to stop it moving. The drum is attached to the wheel making it a safe and effective way to make your car stop.Brakes and rear brake shoes are something that are extremely important for your safety and should never be neglected.

     

    Installation Tips:

    Step 1 Remove the wheel.

    Step 2 Remove the slider bolt.

    Step 3 Pivot the caliper up.

    Step 4 Slide out the old brake pads.

    Step 5 Replace the retaining clips.

    Step 6 Slide in the new brake pads.

    Step 7 Retract the pistons.

    Step 8 Monitor the brake fluid level.

    Step 9 Reposition the caliper.

    Step 10 Reinstall the slider bolt.

    Step 11 Repeat for the other side.

    Step 12 Test-drive under safe conditions.
