This is a beautiful vintage dinner plate from Shenango's The Twelve Days of Christmas pattern. The pattern was designed by Dick Litzel and produced in the USA. It was released in 1964 and with each year thereafter, a different day was released. They were discontinued in 1975. This particular plate is the 8th of the series and is entitled "Eight Maids A-Milking". It is dated 1971. It features scenes from the previous plates as well as the Eight Maids A-Milking. The Plate measures approximately 9 7/8 inches and is about 7/8 inches tall. It has gold accents and gold trim on the outer edge of the plate. The design is a bright coloring of purple, red and green. Plate is in good vintage pre-owned condition. There are no nicks, chips, cracks or repairs. Noticeable Spur marks exist on the back from the kiln support (see last photo). Light utensil marks are present. Gold trim and accents are in good shape and show little wear. Please review and enlarge all photos for additional details, views and measurement. Hand washing is required due to gold trim and accents. Shipped via USPS Ground Advantage.
