AmScope T800 Series
Professional Grade Polarized-Light Trinocular Compound Microscope 50X-750X with
Dual Illumination and 2MP USB 3.0 C-mount Camera Sku: T800A-PZ-2MBI3 Key Features
Built for precision and flexibility, the T800-PZ delivers excellence in both form and function. This polarized-light microscope uses infinity-corrected optics with semi-apochromatic, low-strain objective lenses to ensure the highest quality images are produced. It’s equipped with a lockable rotating stage and an assortment of wave plates for birefringence testing, and a full-featured Bertrand lens for conoscopic and orthoscopic observation. Dual illuminations systems provide transmitted and reflected lighting with full polarization on both light-paths. This instrument’s flexibility makes it ideal for geology and mineralogy, materials inspection, and medical practices alike. If you desire the same microscope configuration,
but with different magnification levels, please search the below skus for your
desired features:
Viewing Head The
microscope's head is designed for precision and comfort. The super-widefield
optics provide a larger field-of-view so you can see more specimen at any
magnification. Compensation-free Siedentopf interpupillary adjustment allows
any user to properly align the oculars without readjusting focus. For users
with astigmatism or asymmetrical vision, the left ocular can be adjusted to
fine-tune focus. The photo port is equipped with a C-mount interface for
attaching cameras without intermediary lenses, and is height-adjustable to
match focus with the eyepieces. The port is compatible with our CX series
C-mount ports which are available with different levels of magnification for
cameras with different sensor formats. An optional 23mm port adapter is
available for use with 23mm reduction lenses. The head is set to a 30° incline
which is ideal for viewing from a standing position, and it can be rotated
360°. Betrand Lens The
Bertand lens allows the user to quickly switch between normal orthoscopic and
conoscopic observation. This is required to shift to the rear focal plane for
proper alignment of the aperture diaphragm, and to observe interference
patterns created by minerals under polarized light. The lens assembly has a
slot for the included first-order, quarter-wave, and quartz-wedge retardation
plates. Optics The
infinity-corrected optical system eliminates optical errors when using filters
and other in-line components, which is of paramount importance in
polarized-light microscopy. The quadruple objective turret provides instant
access to 4 lenses to efficiently move through magnifications from 50X to 500X.
Additional 15X eyepieces expand the magnification range up to 750X with 8
possible unique combinations. The turret's reversed orientation provides more
working room above the stage. These high-quality lenses are strain-free to
ensure accurate observation under polarized light, with planatic and
semi-apochromatic corrections for superior resolution and field flatness for
edge-to-edge sharpness. Each objective can be independently centered to ensure
proper alignment. The Stage The
rotating stage is designed for observing optical characteristics of specimens
which vary by angle relative to the orientation of polarized light. Once
centered, the specimen can be rotated to locate its axis and tested for
birefringence. The sub-stage polarizer can also be rotated to avoid stage
movement when working with specimens with weaker birefringence. Centerable
objective lenses and condenser help ensure proper alignment for accurate
results. Koehler Transmitted Illumination Built
on Koehler illumination principals, the sub-stage lighting provides
evenly-distributed light for optimal contrast. The rear-mounted 50W
incandescent light-source provides 100 CRI illumination with ample brightness
for contrast-enhancement methods like darkfield. The lower color temperature of
the halogen light-source causes less eyestrain compared to high-Kelvin LED, and
covers the full spectrum with better penetration. The light condenser uses a
swing mechanism to vary numerical aperture for optimized lighting at both high
and low magnifications. An iris diaphragm allows you to adjust the aperture to
optimize contrast and depth-of-field. The condenser uses a rotatable polarizer
for diascopic polarization. It uses rack-and-pinion height adjustment for
precision control, and is centerable for proper alignment. The condenser is
top-mounted for easier replacement when working with additional condensers. The
illuminator's field lens provides an iris diaphragm to control light-spread,
optimizing contrast and definition in specimen features. Koehler Reflected Illumination The
top illuminator also uses a 50W incandescent light-source to provide ample
light for use with polarization. Adjustable aperture and field diaphragms offer
precise control over the light field for improved contrast and edge sharpness.
A removable polarizer board provides polarization for reflected illumination.
The analyzer is equipped with a dial to control the angle of
cross-polarization. Digital Imaging Monitor
and capture photos and videos with the included 2MP USB3.0 camera.
With extraordinary sensitivity and a maximum framerate of 125fps,
the MU203-BI provides high-definition imaging for low-light
applications, including fluorescence and darkfield. Using a cutting-edge 2MP
back-illuminated CMOS sensor with an incredible 2350mV
sensitivity (1/30s), high gain-levels can be used for
highly-responsive realtime video. A 0.37X reduction lens is included for
use with 23mm-30.5mm ports to capture more of the microscope's
field-of-view. Our professional software for Windows provides a wide
assortment of capture and photo-editing functions including color correction,
time-lapse capture, image stitching, and a full complement of measuring tools.
A lite version of our software is available for Mac and Linux with essential functionality for capturing photos and videos. Specifications

We offer 30 days from the date of receipt (verified by tracking information) to request a return on a unit. To do so, please send us a message through eBay member to member messages, with your reason for return, requesting an RMA number.
Note that shipping costs are borne by the customer. Returns requested after 30 days are not valid, and any returns sent without an RMA number will be returned to sender at the sender's expense. Also, please insure all items shipped back, as damage to items by the courier during the return shipment to us are not covered otherwise.
Please keep all original packing materials, as they are required for return (or a 10% restocking fee will be charged). Returned items must be in new/usable condition unless defective on arrival to you.
We, AmScope, provide all warranty services. Please feel free to contact us whenever you need help by messaging us from the store you purchased the product from.
Note: Buyers bear the cost of shipping and handling cost round trip for warranty services. Warranty does not cover consumable accessories and parts such as bulbs.
Warranty service times vary throughout the year, and are processed in a first come, first serve manner, when parts are available and in stock. Most repairs/replacements are done within 1-2 weeks, however if there is a long line during the busy season, or if your parts need to be ordered from our manufacturer, processing times can be up to 6-8 weeks. We appreciate your patience and understand everyone has a critical need for their unit, and do everything we can to ensure that these requests are handled as quickly as possible.
For defective items or any missing items from your order, please contact us right away to let us know of the issue.
We allow a 30 day period (from the date of receipt of the item in the mail) to report such issues--any items missing after that time frame will need to be purchased, and any defective items will be treated as warranty issues for repair or replacement only (no returns for refund).
For missing items and broken items, we do require a picture of the shipping label on the box, and of the items that arrived with your unit for verification before we can send any missing items or replacements to you.
To initiate an RMA, please send us a message through the store you purchased it from. Include your order number, reason for return, and if any pictures are required for your claim, please include them also.
From there, we will process within 24-72 hours, and if approved, issue you an RMA number and instructions on where to mail your unit back to. If qualifying for return shipping covered by us (for defective items within 30 days of receipt), your return label may take another 24-48 hours to process and be received in your email inbox.
Follow the issued instructions, and once received, we will process the item in, and check to ensure everything is there. We will contact you when the item is ready for return shipping (if a warranty request), or simply issue your refund with the appropriate deductions (if any) once processed.
Processing is done first come, first serve, and can take between 1-4 weeks to process (depending on how many requests we currently have in queue). We thank you for your patience while we work on your request.
