Chrome Barrel Knobs for P Bass/Telecaster Ibanez Domed Knurled Volume Tone Knob Volume and tone knobs are heavy duty! They'll look great on a telecaster, P-bass, Ibanez or any other electric guitar with a single volume and tone knob. The set screw does not push all the way through to the pot, but puts pressure on the inner coarse splined sleeve. If you want the set screw to make contact with the pot, you can simply drill the hole out. However, the pressure on the inner sleeve is sufficient to create a tight fit. 

This is a coarse splined set of knobs. If you count the splines on a coarse knob you will have a total of 18 splines.  If you count them on the pot, there are 8 on each side of the split (16 total). Almost all press-on knobs that fit coarse 18-spline pot shafts won’t fit fine 24-spline shafts, and vice versa. NEVER pinch the control shaft with pliers to make a knob fit. This can cause the split shaft to break.
