Amador signed with the Colorado Rockies as an international free agent on July 2, 2019.^[1][2] He did not play in a game in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season because of the COVID-19 pandemic.^[3]

Amador made his professional debut in 2021 with the rookie–level Arizona Complex League Rockies, hitting .299/.394/.445 with four home runs and 24 runs batted in (RBI) over 47 games. He spent the 2022 season with the Single–A Fresno Grizzlies, hitting .292/.415/.445 with 15 home runs, 57 RBI, and 26 stolen bases across 115 games.^[4]
