This is a genuine Fluval FX 6w UVC Lamp, designed for use with the Fluval FX UVC In-Line Clarifier. A Cold Cathode Fluorescent Light (CCFL) runs cooler than a traditional fluorescent bulb. As such, it lasts significantly longer and helps prevent limescale from developing on the quartz tube. Fluval therefore recommend replacing the bulb every 2 years.

Tip: The indictor light will illuminate to provide visual confirmation when the UVC bulb is operational. If the indicator light is not illuminated, the UVC unit is either not connected to a power source or the bulb requires replacement.
