To use these items: plug one adapter into a wall socket (not extension lead) and connect it to your router using an ethernet cable. Then take the other adapter to a different room, plug it into a wall socket and then connect it to a single internet-enabled device (Smart TV, YouView Box, PC etc) using another ethernet cable. Broadband signal will then be transmitted through the mains wiring from the adapter connected to the router to the other one located elsewhere in the property. As powerline signal is more stable than Wi-Fi this helps to reduce or eliminate common issues such as Wi-Fi blackspots or areas of weak or patchy Wi-Fi signal in the home, and associated buffering to internet devices.
