This vintage Book is described in good condition.

Usual age wear/toning, pages are obviously worn with blemishes and age discoloration to the textblock and to the black endpapers, age soiling to the bottom corner on the fore-edges causing bleeding of the red edges onto the corners but it does NOT affect the text in any manner, else clean and very tight, 'presentation' page is unmarked, no noticed pen or pencil markings. Many illustrations and full page plates in both color and b&w. 2 silk bookmarkers sewn into the headband with moderate wear. All page edges a red gilt. Leather binding with leather aging, spine and binding not perfect but intact and no loose pages. Boards are obviously worn front and back, spine also is worn with a chip to the leather at the front corner on the head of the spine. Visible edge wear along the sides of the boards, rubbing to the spine wording at the foot. No Dust Jacket. This has been covered in taped mylar (flexible mylar sleeves), only taped to the mylar itself so no tape wear will happen to the book itself, for safe-keeping.
