The secret and reason for the Wasabi and design.
The reason the word “wasabi” is engraved on this steel shark is that the small “wasabi” letters are finely etched into the shark.
Because the acicles of the letters “wa,” “sa,” and “bi” each point in a different direction in a circle, grating them in a circular pattern allows them to contain oxygen to produce a creamier taste and a spicier, more intense flavor.
The Wasabi character design was arrived at after more than 200 different design trials and errors.
Care Instructions.
After use, clean with a soft brush, etc., then wipe dry with a dry cloth and store in a dry place.
When the steel shark is completely dry, wrap it in newspaper or kitchen paper and store in a drawer or other shady place.
