Publisher: Marcus Ward & Co. Limited, undated but 1885, first edition. Four miniature books, 6cm tall by 8cm wide (2 3/8 inches by 3 1/8 inches), in their original blue cloth covered slipcase with silver titles on one side. Each book is bound in decorative cloth with coloured page edges.The condition is very good, the books having small light handling marks to the spines, Seaweeds having mottling to the cloth. Inside, the books are clean and bright, each page having very attractive decorative borders. They fit neatly into the slipcase, which is in good condition with some discolouration to the top (not as white as it appears in the photograph. A very pretty and very rare set. Christian inspirational and consolational poetry.
