Cover worn, interior pages yellowing.  Otherwise, tight & clean.  This picks up where the "Chess Player" series left off---the only thing "NEW" that I see is a new multi-color cover and maybe a more selective set of games (lightly annotated).  Whereas the last volume (16) of "The Chess Player" ended with tournaments of 1977,  the "NEW" series commits to 3 issues a year.   So this volume 1  covers tournaments of early 1978.  392 games. 191 pages.
