The body is made of Okume wood, which is rich in mid-low range characteristics that are the key to bass sound, and the top is made of maple wood, which has a sense of attack and crisp high-range characteristics. (low gloss finish)

Half hollow, half solid body construction

In order to obtain the plump and resonant low-end tone that is the key to the fretless sound, the half of the body on the bass string side has a hollow structure.

30 fret fingerboard (Panga Panga wood) that enables expression of 2.5 octaves

The 30-fret fingerboard is made of hard Panga Panga wood and is aimed at players who play technically up to the high fret zone. (The fret lines on the fingerboard are made of black resin)

Nordstrand “Big Break” magnetic pickup & Ibanez “Aero Silk” piezo pickup

“Big Break” is modeled after the excellent tonal character of Nordstrand's standard pickup: Big Single, while adopting a split coil structure with high noise cancellation effect.

This is a jointly developed pickup by Ibanez and Nordstrand that was created in pursuit of tighter highs and boomier lows.

In addition, the piezo pickup installed in the saddle above the bridge allows you to create the sound with an approach similar to that of an upright bass.

2-band EQ & active tone control

This unit is equipped with two pickup systems, magnetic and piezo, and in addition to independent volume control for each pickup,

The magnetic is equipped with a 2-band equalizer that allows for intuitive sound creation, and the piezo is equipped with a tone control, allowing for a wide variety of sound creation.

In addition, the volume of the piezo pickup can be controlled for each string using the trim that can be accessed from the back of the body. (Powered by 006P alkaline battery x1)
