Antique Bronze French Small Square Candle Holder
Late nineteenth century. Beautiful patina. Tiny round feet keep it 1/2 inch above the table surface.
The Square Marble Base is neatly and tightly rimmed with a bronze frame. It is slightly chipped on the edge of the underside. (see photos) The chips do not go through to the top and can only be seen by turning it upside down. There are NO defects in the marble other than that.
4 " high
3 1/2" square base
Though it is very securely attached, the bronze stick can be loosely turned around.
This is from a huge collection of items from my father's shop in Brooklyn which closed several decades ago. "Old Brassware" was located on Coney Island Ave near Dorchester Rd. in Flatbush and my father also bought large amounts of architectural metal from old NYC buildings as they were torn down or renovated during the 1960s and 70s.
Everything I sell is from a strictly non-smoking environment. I respond quickly to all inquiries. Items will be mailed promptly within a day in clean and securely wrapped boxes or postal envelopes.
