It is retangle shaped, with tassels around top edges. Size is 4ft  (136cm) along the longest edge, and 2.5 ft (67cm) at the widest point-that doesn't include the tassels.

The rug has beautiful, vibrant colours and a soft plush woollen pile with a floral pattern carved as well as woven into the pile. The main colour is a RED, with accents of cream, beige, pinks and greens. Perfect for creating a Christmassy look to your fireplace this festive season, and welcome Santa in!

This high-quality item is hand made and backed with hessian. It will be an asset to any room. These are very hard wearing, I have had one in my living room for 4 years now, and it's good as new still!

**  that my Chinese rugs are all vintage items hand made back in the 70s or 80s--although they are all brand new and unused. Many of them have little spots of dye on the backing material. These are not visible when the carpet is laid, and do not detract from the quality at all. I believe the spots are due to the way the rugs were produced and processed back in the day....they are not caused by dirt or mould! **
