For sale is a Limited-Edition print by renowned aviation artist, Robert Taylor. The print comes with a certificate of authenticity from The Military Gallery.  

The print is on acid free archival paper.  The print is in excellent condition, never framed, and stored flat in a nonsmoking environment. The overall size of the print is 31" x 20".

The print depicts passengers boarding a Pan Am Clipper at Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay in 1940.  The best flying boat ever built is bound for Hawaii and the Far East.  This stunning piece was painted for the launch of Taylor’s yearlong exhibition at the Air & Space Museum in Washington D.C. in 1988-1989. The painting was commissioned by Pam Am who sponsored the exhibition.  Most of the prints were taken by the airline, leaving a very limited number of prints available to the collector’s market.
