VG - EX.  December 1, 1964 - Madison Square Garden.  Program from game between the Knicks and Celtics, signed by Bud Palmer, who was the leading scorer on the very first Knicks team and then became one of their broadcasters.  The evening also included a warm up high school game between LaSalle Academy & Rice High School.  The Rice squad was led by future Knicks #1 draft pick Dean Meminger.  In the main event, Bill Russell posted a double/double (22/22) to lead the Celtics to a 117 - 113 victory, despite NY rookie Willis Reed nearly matching his effort (21/23).  The game featured six rookies who were all playing in their 15 - 20th NBA game:  Willis Reed, Howie Komives, Jim Barnes and Em Bryant for New York; Mel Counts and John Thompson for Boston.
