Die serienmäßigen Ölzufuhrleitungen weisen uneinheitliche Dichtungsbedingungen auf, und die schlechte Oberfläche der Quetschscheibe kann dazu führen, dass Vanos nicht den erforderlichen Öldruck erreicht. 
Der Austausch der serienmäßigen Kraftstoffleitung kostet über 100 US-Dollar und kann mit der Zeit leicht wieder zu Undichtigkeiten an der Crimpverbindung führen.
