Paint Brush Application:

• Coverage: Typically covers 10 to 12 square meters per litre for a single coat using a paint brush.
• For a standard uPVC door exterior, approximately 250ml per coat is recommended. Two coats are suggested, making 500ml usually sufficient.
• For an 'average' window (736mm x 1498mm), roughly 250ml of paint covers two window frames with two coats.

Aerosol Can Application:

• Coverage: A 400ml aerosol can covers around 2 square meters per coat.
• An exterior uPVC door typically requires one 400ml aerosol can per coat. Two coats are recommended, hence two 400ml aerosol cans are usually enough.
• For an 'average' window (736mm x 1498mm), approximately one 400ml aerosol can covers three window frames with two coats.

Spray Gun Application:

• Thinning: It's advisable to thin the paint by 15 - 25% using FabioT thinners for spray gun application.
• Coverage: Utilising a gravity spray gun or HVLP, coverage extends to about 25 - 30 square meters per litre.

Using Paint Brush/Roller:

1. Surface Preparation:
   • Clean the surface thoroughly with hot soapy water to eliminate dust or dirt.
   • Enhance surface adhesion using a light grit scotch cloth.
   • Wipe the surface with degreaser once more and let it dry completely.
   • Carefully mask the area with masking tape and paper in preparation for painting.
   • Ensure the paint is well-mixed for at least 2 minutes before application.
2. Application:
   • Apply the paint with smooth strokes using a brush or roller.
   • Allow 15 minutes between coats for optimal drying.
   • After painting, wait 15 minutes before gently removing the masking tape.
   • Let the painted surface dry for 1-2 hours before handling, and 72 hours before cleaning.
3. Cleaning & Storage:
   • Remove excess paint and clean tools with white spirit.
   • Store equipment indoors in a cool, dry place (between 5°C and 25°C), away from direct sunlight.
   • Use the paint within 12 months once the container is opened.

Using Aerosol/Spray Can:

1. Surface Preparation:
   • Clean the surface thoroughly using hot soapy water to remove any dirt.
   • Enhance adhesion by lightly abrading the surface with a scotch cloth.
   • Wipe the surface with degreaser and allow it to dry completely.
   • Carefully mask the area with masking tape and paper in preparation for painting.
   • Shake the spray can vigorously for 2-3 minutes until the paint is thoroughly mixed.
2. Application:
   • Apply the paint in smooth cross coats, maintaining a distance of 250mm from the surface.
   • Allow 15 minutes between coats for optimal drying.
   • After painting, wait 15 minutes before gently removing the masking tape.
   • Let the painted surface dry for 1-2 hours before handling, and 48 hours before cleaning.
3. Cleaning & Storage:
   • Turn the aerosol upside down after use to clear the nozzle and valve.
   • Remove excess paint and clean tools with white spirit.
   • Store the spray can indoors (between 5°C and 25°C), away from direct sunlight.
   • Use the paint within 12 months once the container is opened.

Note: Avoid painting in cold or damp weather, as it can adversely affect application, finish, and drying time. For spray paint, ensure a minimum temperature of 15+ degrees in a warm, well-ventilated area.
