>Offered here is an old and original 1950 PRINCETON UNIVERSITY vs. DARTMOUTH COLLEGE full/unused football ticket!! Please see both photos, as they are an important part of my description. The ticket measures approximately 5 1/4" x 2 1/4", and features an outstanding and prominent Princeton Tigers mascot. The ticket is dated Nov. 25, 1950, with the game having been played at Palmer Stadium in Princeton, New Jersey - the home of the Princeton Tigers. There is an original stamp on the face of the ticket, which mentions some sort of "special price" with tax, etc. This vintage football ticket shows a simple diagram of the stadium on the reverse. Attendance for this game was a scant 5,000, making this a rather scarce example to come by...especially in its full/unused form.
>History: the favored Princeton Tigers narrowly defeated the Dartmouth Big Green on this day, 13-7. The Tigers finished their season undefeated at 9-0, with some poll selectors naming them as college football's national champions. Princeton's halfback Dick Kazmaier was a consensus All-American, and won the Heisman Trophy the following year. Princeton was coached by Charlie Caldwell, while Dartmouth was led by Tuss McLaughry. Captain for Princeton was George Chandler, while Paul Staley was captain for the Big Green.
<>Condition: the offered ticket shows some vertical wrinkles/creasing near the un-torn perforation on the left portion of the ticket (more obvious when reflecting the ticket in light). Otherwise, in solid shape overall and displays nicely!
