The Tiny Library Ben and His Mother
By
Mrs Carus-Wilson
Publisher: S.W. Partridge & Co, undated, but 1873. A volume in the Tiny Library series, which consisted of improving stories for children, largely intended to terrify them into good behaviour it would appear. Tiny size, 11cm tall, a bit over 4.25 inches, 64 pages, plus 16pp publisher's catalogue. Bound in red cloth with titles in gilt on the top board, decorations in gilt and black, and a little laid-on floral illustration. Frontispiece and five other full-page engravings. Very good condition. The book has a lean, some mottling to the cloth. Half-title and last page of the catalogue are toned, one or two light marks, otherwise clean and bright.
