A lovely large wire basket with folding double handles, used at one time to gather and organize eggs. This one is estimated early to mid 1900s. 

Accented with a scalloped folding rim and made with heavy gauge metal wire.  The basket top is designed to collapse or stretch to a full size, depending on your desire effect. The handles fold around allowing the basket to stand up on its round base and it folds up when not in use.

Circa 1900-1950. Ideal for a rustic farmhouse or cottage style kitchen décor. Every farmhouse kitchen would have had one to collect the fresh eggs, vegetable or salad storage.

CONDITION

In good sturdy condition, as shown on pictures, with no rust and no damage. The metal has age patina to it. A little oiling will give good protection & luster to the wire.
