**Selling here is a seemingly rare original etching on brown of the Polak Family tree, Rotterdam. Large folio size measuring: [sheet size] 64cm x 47cm. Etching size: 41cm x 30cm. Limited edition? 10/25 in pencil to the lower left, with pencil signature to the right [Artist?]. Large blank borders. Original etching. One other found [that was sold] for 450 Euros [that copy not having the signature and cropped]. **

On the tree branches are shields with names and dates. Oldest generation: Jeremias A. Polak, married 1761 to Esther A. van Gogh. Above that, six generations. Van Goch, Van Aalten, Roose, Jossman, Levy, Cohen, Vos, Meyer, Rosenberg, Hirsch, Leyden, Seckel, Spanjaard, Weening, Col-Clough, Colclough, Rosenthal, Bles, Mendes, Gosschalk, Jongh, Catz, Van Cleeff, Hartog,

Beyond is a cityscape of Rotterdam as a background: on the left are the St. Laurenskerk, the statue Erasmus, and further canal houses.

Monogrammed and dated on the bottom right corner: A.L. (?) 1938. 

Foxing mainly to the wide margins. upper left corner creased. browning, roughly cut left and right borders .Discolouration to the verso.
